Dairy Farmers Urge Fonterra to Listen to Peak Note ConcernsMonday, May 26, 2003
Dairy farmers are encouraged that Fonterra is consulting on a more simple and effective solution to the issue of Peak Capacity but farmers will need to be convinced that this proposal will do anything to address the current inequities, says Dairy Farmers of New Zealand Chairman Kevin Wooding.
“Consultation is about two-way communication. Fonterra must ensure that the process is robust and that farmers concerns are taken on board.
“Until a workable solution can be offered Fonterra should set the peak note at zero.”
