Young Farmers World Congress Trust Scholarships AnnouncedTuesday, May 20, 2003
The Young Farmers World Congress Charitable Trust today announced the recipients of their 2003 Scholarships.
Anna Cleeve studying for a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Bachelor of Applied Science and Georgina Smith studying for a Bachelor of Veterinary Science have been awarded scholarships of $1,500 each. Both are studying at Massey University.
Di Earl from Sheffield in Canterbury who is studying with the Agriculture ITO was awarded a $750 scholarship.
“The Trustees considered that these young women will add value to the primary sector through the course of their careers, said Tim Leslie, National Executive Officer, of the New Zealand Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (Inc.).
“The Young Farmers World Congress Charitable Trust is administered by the New Zealand Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (Inc.). The Trust was formed in 1989 to distribute the revenue produced from the investment of profits from the 5th World congress of Young Farmers held in Christchurch in 1985.”
