USDA Market News IMPORT BEEF TRADE Thursday, May 15, 2003
(Australia and New Zealand) - Compared to Friday, import boneless beef prices were weak on slow trading. Most of the pressure was on the bull meat at 1.00 to 1.50 lower and 90% cow meat mostly 2.00 lower. All other lean percentages on cow meat, the prices were steady to weak. The downward pressure was fuelled by heavy offerings especially on spot delivery product, this was despite moderate demand.
