Beef: U.S. prices for imported manufacturing beef down for the 4th straight week and are at 2 year low. This is depressing considering that fundamentals are so sound. U.S. consumer demand has actually fallen much faster than beef supply. Until now Asia has been the jewel in our exporters crown, but SARS epidemic has sent Asian markets into a tailspin.
Lamb: UK leg market continues to decline as UK importers become adamant in demands for lower prices. Leg prices in other markets holding as are returns for other cuts. Negative attitude from UK importers is hard to fathom because their domestic lamb price is up
