USDA Market IMPORT BEEF TRADE Fri, Mar 21, 2003

(Australia and New Zealand) Compared to Wednesday, import boneless beef prices were weak to lower on very slow market activity with domestic boneless beef trading sharply lower for the week. Demand was mostly light throughout the week. However, as consumers await much warmer temperatures and with the war situation looking positive for the US. grinders are starting to anticipate better consumer demand over the weekend, resulting in better grinding demand next week.
