USDA Beef Market Report - Fri, Feb 21, 2003

IMPORT BEEF TRADE (Australia and New Zealand) - Compared to Wednesday, import boneless beef prices were mostly steady on very slow trading. Prices for the week were weak to lower on spot delivery products as demand was light for heavy offerings. Freezer inventories were plentiful. The out-front prices were mostly steady on light offerings. Supplies overseas became limited as rains in Australia and an increasing dollar caused asking prices to increase.
